Investment in Turkey

The presence of the many different potential advantages including the geographical position of Turkey, direct link with the European market, opportunities offered by the Customs Union, and right to naturalization given to foreigners under the regime of acquiring property in Turkey increases the appetite of foreigners about investments.

Accordingly, the options will be as provided below in case of a foreign real person:

The options will be as provided below in case a foreign investor is a legal person:

Almost all formalities can be completed remotely through the appointment of a counsel in Turkey without the requirement to visit Turkey in person. Thus, a business may be founded, and an investment may be made in Turkey in a short time and at low costs without directly dealing with bureaucratic processes.

In addition to the information provided above, one of the reasons for foreign industrialists to choose Turkey is the recent supply shortages experienced in China and the logistics problems that originated in Europe. Turkey became one of the indispensable countries for foreign investors with an experienced workforce and companies as well as services provided in the logistics sector thanks to the geographical position.

Another reason making Turkey attractive is the growth potential for renewable energy and state incentives. The guarantees given by numerous states under the Paris Convention involve the generation of more environment- friendly energies. In this sense, Turkey has non-discardable importance for many countries that intend to generate solar and wind power for creating renewable and alternative power resources.

Turkey became one of the investment havens for foreign real persons as well as foreign legal persons. In particular, the right to naturalization given to foreign real persons through the acquisition of properties increased the level of this attraction further. Foreign real persons may acquire real estate properties in Turkey provided that legal limitations are complied with, and they may apply for naturalization in case certain conditions are met. At present, foreign citizens have the right to become Turkish citizens provided that a real estate property with a minimum value of USD 400,000 is acquired and it is not sold for three years.
